Our Story

We are a volunteer, nonpartisan grassroots campaign working to enshrine equal rights by ensuring the ERA (Equal Rights Amendment) becomes part of the U.S. Constitution. The ERA states that, “Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.” Currently, the U.S. is the only major country in the world that does not include gender equality in its constitution. Join the movement now and this year, let’s vote for equality!

Fast Facts

• More than 90% of Americans agree that the U.S. Constitution should guarantee equal rights regardless of gender.

• Over 70% of Americans believe the U.S. Constitution guarantees equal rights regardless of gender. It does not.

• 94% of Americans, across all political parties, support equal rights for all.

• 84% of international constitutions include gender equality. The U.S. Constitution does not.

On March 8, 2020, International Women’s Day, people from all over the country gathered in Richmond, Virginia to celebrate Virginia becoming the 38th, and final state needed, to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. This historic event makes our country one step closer to equality for all in the U.S. Constitution. #VoteEqualityUS
